A business visa is issued by foreign agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of an invitation, as well as by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of an application from participants or bodies of the International Financial Center «Astana».

Recipients of category C3:

• persons traveling to Kazakhstan or who are in Kazakhstan for the purpose of employment, as well as their family members.

Single - up to 90 days (for the entire visa validity period);

Multiple - up to 3 years * (for the entire visa validity period).

* To participants and bodies of the International Financial Center «Astana», employees of participants of «Astana Hub» or employees of «Astana Hub» – no more than 5 years) or for the duration of the permit.

A visa is issued by foreign agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of an invitation, as well as by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of an application from the inviting party, in the presence of:

• permission issued to the employer to attract foreign labour, or documents confirming that, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan or international treaties to which the Republic of Kazakhstan is a party, a visa recipient does not need permission to work or to attract foreign labour.

Recipients of category C4:

• persons traveling to Kazakhstan or located in Kazakhstan for self-employment in professions that are in demand in priority sectors of the economy.

Single - up to 90 days (for the entire visa validity period);

Multiple - up to 3 years (for the entire visa validity period).

A single entry visa is issued by foreign agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of the following documents:

• application;
• self-employment qualification certificate.

A visa is issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of the following documents:

• application;
• self-employment qualification certificate;
• employment contract.

Recipients of category C5:

• business immigrants.

Single - up to 90 days (for the entire visa validity period);

Multiple - up to 2 years * (for the entire visa validity period).

*Ethnic Kazakhs - up to 3 years.

A visa is issued by foreign agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of an invitation, in the presence of:

• applications
• medical certificate confirming the absence of diseases, the presence of which prohibits the entry of foreigners and stateless persons into the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• health insurance;
• a certificate of the presence or absence of a criminal record issued by an authorized body of the country of citizenship or permanent residence;
• certificates on the presence or absence of a prohibition on entrepreneurial activity on the basis of a court decision issued by the authorized body of the country of citizenship or permanent residence.

Visa recipient must be of legal age.

Recipients of category C6:

• seasonal foreign workers.

Single - up to 90 days (for the entire visa validity period);

Multiple - up to 1 year, but no more than the validity of the permit (for the entire visa validity period).

A visa is issued by foreign agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of an invitation if there is a permit issued to the employer to attract foreign labour.

E-Visa (business, tourist and medical treatment) is issued based on a valid invitation from the Kazakh side, considered by the migration service units of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the established procedure.

Foreign citizens can enter/leave the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan using a valid electronic visa only through the checkpoints of the international airports of cities Nur-Sultan and Almaty. E-Visa is valid only for the visa recipient and does not apply to accompanying persons.

Step-by-step E-Visa registration algorithm:

• to obtain an electronic visa, you must register on the website of the Visa-Migration portal (www.vmp.gov.kz);
• after registration, familiarize yourself with the requirements for obtaining an electronic visa;
• get acquainted with the requirements for obtaining an electronic visa;
• enter an invitation number ( the invitation number is sent by the inviting party in the Republic of Kazakhstan ) and fill in the visa application form;
• after confirming the availability of the invitation, check and confirm the compliance of the information in the electronic visa and the travel document identifying;
• pay the consular fee;
• print an electronic visa (the visa is formed in the personal account and sent to the email address you provided when filling out the application form);
• present a printed electronic visa when passing through passport control at international airports in Nur-Sultan and Almaty.
